Our house is about a 6 or 7 minute walk from the main Wimbledon
station.
You can see a map of the local area here.
If you have heavy luggage, then you may prefer to take a
taxi from the station, which costs around £3.50.
From Heathrow Airport (journey time: 1 hour)
Take the Piccadilly Line Underground to Earls Court, and change
there onto the District Line Underground to Wimbledon. Please
be sure to take a District Line train that is terminating
at Wimbledon, as the District Line has several branches.
From Gatwick Airport (journey time: 3 / 4 hour) Take
the National Rail service to Clapham Junction (not the fast
express to London Victoria), and then take a train to Wimbledon
from platform 11 at Clapham Junction.
From Stansted Airport (journey time: 1 1 / 2 hours)
Take the National Rail service to Tottenham Hale, and change
there onto the Victoria Line Underground to Vauxhall. At Vauxhall,
leave the Underground station and follow the signs to Vauxhall
National Rail, where you should take a train to Wimbledon
from platform 8. Please note: if your plane arrives at Stansted
Airport after 9:30PM, you may find it difficult to travel
to Wimbledon by public transport.
From Waterloo International - Eurostar (journey time:
15 minutes)
If you are arriving on the Eurostar train from Paris or Brussels,
then you can take a National Rail train directly from London
Waterloo to Wimbledon.
